About The Trust and the Project...

We are a charitable trust based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, UK. In 2008 we recieved at grant from HLF to carry out an oral history and research project into the lives of women who have worked in Industry across the region over the past 100 years. This blog is here to keep everyone up to date on the progress of the project and where we hope it will go, it is also here so that people can add comments or ideas for the project. Oral History Society Training Day

We have now found all our volunteers and held our training day, 'An Introduction to Oral History' with Michelle Winslow from the Oral History Society.

The day covered things from a historical overview of Oral History through to ethics of using the technique, practicing with our new equipment and testing our questioning skills.

For the volunteers who missed the training we will arrange a meeting to pass on what we have learnt.
